Amstrad/Schneider CPC
The CPC 6128 is equipped with a built-in floppy disk drive instead of a tape drive; however, an external cassette drive can still be added. Another improvement is the memory, which now utilizes two 64 KB banks for a total of 128 KB.
The internal floppy disk drive allows for the use of CP/M 2 or CP/M+, although performance is relatively slow.
The units were developed by Amstrad in England and distributed in Germany under the Schneider brand name by Schneider Rundfunkwerke AG. To comply with German electromagnetic interference regulations, the German models feature a Centronics-style connector for peripherals instead of edge connectors.
