Aktueller Software Markt

ASM – Aktueller Software Markt was one of the first German-language multi-format video game magazines: launched in March 1986 by Tronic-Verlag, it was published (mostly monthly) until its last regular issue in February 1995. Initially, ASM covered “software” in general, but it quickly evolved into a gaming magazine—featuring typical ratings for graphics, sound, gameplay, and engagement; in 1993–94, it was renamed “ASM – (Computer) Fun Magazine”. Since 2023, new retro special issues have been published occasionally with contributions from former editors. Scans of numerous issues are archived online.
