Atari TT

Development of the Atari TT began in 1986, and it was intended to be a UNIX workstation. However, its launch was delayed until 1990 because Atari was striving to implement the latest standards. The company ultimately opted for the 32-bit, 32 MHz Motorola 68030 processor. Compatibility with the Atari ST required that the processor and the system bus operate at different clock speeds. UNIX posed another problem; due to system changes, it wasn’t available until 1992, which is why TOS 3.01 was used until then.
I've had my Atari TT for several years now. It has received a number of upgrades over time. The power supply has been overhauled and is now equipped with a quieter fan. The internal clock battery had to be replaced because it had discharged. In addition, the ST-RAM has been expanded to the maximum of 10 MB. Additional expansions such as Storm (TT-RAM memory expansion), Thunder (IDE expansion), and Lightning (USB expansion) were added later. Except for a graphics expansion, it’s now fully equipped.
