Nachdem ich nun einen <strong>Mega STE<\/strong> bekommen habe, ist die <strong>Atari<\/strong> Reihe (16 bit) nun fast komplett bei mir vertreten. Nun fehlt nur noch der <strong>Mega ST<\/strong>!<br>Der <strong>Mega STE<\/strong> der bei mir eingetroffen ist, hat 4MB, eine 200MB Festplatte, ein HD-Diskettenlaufwerk und eine Tastatur vom <strong>Mega ST<\/strong> mit Tastenkappen von <strong>RTS<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Geschichte:<\/strong><br>Der <strong>Mega STE<\/strong> war der Nachfolger des technisch \u00fcberholten <strong>Mega ST<\/strong> und wurde zwischen dem g\u00fcnstigen <strong>1040 STE<\/strong> und dem High-End-Rechner <strong>TT <\/strong>positioniert.<br>Was wurde gegen\u00fcber dem 1040 STE ge\u00e4ndert:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>16 Mhz-68000-Prozessor<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Sockel f\u00fcr mathematischen Koprozessor 68881 mit 16 Mhz<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>2 RS232C kompatible serielle Schnittstellen<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1 serielle High-Speed-Schnittstelle<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>interner ACSI-Steckplatz zum Betrieb einer internen Festplatte (mit SCSI-Hostadapter)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1 bis MiB RAM<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>TOS 2.05 (<strong>Mega STE TOS<\/strong>), sp\u00e4ter TOS 2.06<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Das Geh\u00e4use wurde vom&nbsp;<strong>TT<\/strong> \u00fcbernommen. Dadurch gab es eine gute separate Tastatur, aber die erweiterten Joystick-Anschl\u00fcsse des STE fehlten. Am Anfang wurde das Ger\u00e4t mit TOS 2.05 und DD-Diskettenlaufwerk ausgeliefert, sp\u00e4ter dann mit TOS 2.06 und HD-Diskettenlaufwerk &#8211; per DIP-Schalter kann man daf\u00fcr &#8222;Hohe Speicherdichte&#8220; f\u00fcr das formatieren der Disketten aktivieren.<br>Im Gegensatz zum&nbsp;<strong>Atari TT<\/strong> hat der <strong>Atari Mega STE<\/strong> einen integrierten HF-Modulator zum Anschluss an einen normalen Fernseher.<br>Leider waren die Leistungsdaten insgesamt zu schlecht um gegen die 80386- und 80486-basierten PC&#8217;s bestehen zu k\u00f6nnen. \u00dcbrigens passt der Monitor SM124 genau in die Aussparungen auf der rechten Seite des Geh\u00e4uses.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.jungsi.de\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/06\/Mega-STE-vorne-rechts.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"500\" height=\"375\" src=\"https:\/\/www.jungsi.de\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/06\/Mega-STE-vorne-rechts.jpg\" alt=\"Mega STE - Festplatten-Abdeckung\" class=\"wp-image-3685\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.jungsi.de\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/06\/Mega-STE-vorne-rechts.jpg 500w, https:\/\/www.jungsi.de\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/06\/Mega-STE-vorne-rechts-300x225.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><\/a><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Mega STE &#8211; Festplatten-Abdeckung<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Hinweis zur Festplatte:<\/strong><br>ACSI-Adaper intern &#8211; reagiert nur auf die Festplatte mit der Nummer 0. Wenn also die interne Festplatte betrieben wird, muss z.B. die externe UltraSatan auf eine andere ID umgestellt werden.<br>Das Entfernen des internen Adapters ist nicht so ratsam, da durch diesen Signale f\u00fcr den externen Anschluss durchgeschliffen werden. D.h. wenn der Adapter entfernt wird, funktioniert auch der externe ACSI-Anschluss nicht mehr. Es k\u00f6nnen aber auf der entsprechenden Pfostenleiste 8 Jumper (alle zusammenh\u00e4ngend) gesetzt werden, damit man das Problem umgehen kann. Hier gibts weitere Infos dazu:&nbsp;http:\/\/8bitchip.info\/atari\/MegaSTEACSI.html<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Die Batterie der Uhr kann relativ leicht ersetzt werden:<br>Kabel an der alten Batterie abknipsen , an der neuen anl\u00f6ten, ab ins Geh\u00e4use und Deckel drauf &#8211; erledigt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Zum Gl\u00fcck musste ich hier mal nichts basteln, da die Batterie in meinem Mega STE noch in Ordnung war (hab sie mal per CPX Modul gestellt und das Datum und die Uhrzeit blieben auch nach dem Ausschalten erhalten). Ich denke aber nicht, dass ich hier noch die Originalbatterie drin ist \ud83d\ude09<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ich hatte ein zweites Mal Gl\u00fcck und der <strong>Mega STE<\/strong> hat ein HD-Diskettenlaufwerk. Somit ist der Austausch von Daten mit dem PC etwas erleichtert wenn nicht gerade ein SD-Kartenlaufwerk zur Verf\u00fcgung steht.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Die Denkpause beim Kaltstart von TOS 2.05\/2.06 ist f\u00fcr das Starten und initialisieren von Festplatten gedacht. Beim TOS 2.05 sieht man nichts visuelles, wogegen TOS 2.06 das Logo und einen Fortschrittsbalken zeigt.
