Since this controller is usually offered in the Vectrex Facebook group rather than through a standard online store, it is easy to miss out on it. In 2024, I finally succeeded\u2014Oliver Radford from England sent me a unit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">However, this bit of fun doesn't come cheap: \u20ac135 is a hefty price tag for an accessory of this kind. Yet anyone who has ever looked for an original controller knows you\u2019d practically have to pawn a kidney to afford one.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The analog stick is significantly larger than the original. This isn't an issue for users with large hands, but for others, it might feel too big. Of course, that is a matter of personal preference\u2014much like the button layout. The buttons are arranged in a curve, which can feel unfamiliar at first, especially when a game requires the use of all four. Some players prefer a horizontal layout, but you can't please everyone. Here come the positive aspects:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Very good build quality<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Successful, professional design<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Rapid response from the joystick and buttons<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Precise analog stick<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Excellent alternative to the original controller<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Pleasantly long cable<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">After my initial tests, I can confidently say: I prefer the RadPad to the original controller. Games are more precise to control and feel better overall. While the stick has a slightly longer travel, it doesn't feel sluggish at all \u2013 quite the opposite!
