{"id":3405,"date":"2013-05-22T19:10:37","date_gmt":"2013-05-22T18:10:37","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.jungsi.de\/?p=3405"},"modified":"2026-08-27T23:13:53","modified_gmt":"2026-08-27T21:13:53","slug":"retro-atari-falcon-gigafile-adapter","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.jungsi.de\/en\/retro-atari-falcon-gigafile-adapter\/","title":{"rendered":"GigaFile Adapter Typ 5 [Atari Falcon]"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">F\u00fcr das <strong>GigaFile,<\/strong> das ich ja per Kabel am ACSI-Anschluss meines <strong>Atari 1040STE<\/strong> verwende, gibt es inzwischen viele Adapter, um dieses Laufwerk an fast jedem Atari-Rechner benutzen zu k\u00f6nnen.<br>Um mir den Datenaustausch mit meinem Falcon zu erleichtern, habe ich mir die Adapter-Platine &#8211; Adapter Typ 5 &#8211; besorgt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Die unscheinbare Platine hat zwei Stecker \u2013 auf der einen Seite den Stecker, der direkt an das <strong>GigaFile<\/strong> angeschlossen werden kann \u2013 auf der anderen Seite einen Stecker f\u00fcr ein 50-poliges SCSI2 HP (halfpitch) Kabel. Mit dem passenden Kabel (z. B. bei <strong>Partsdata<\/strong> mit 0,5&nbsp;m L\u00e4nge) kann der Adapter an den Falcon angeschlossen werden.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.jungsi.de\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/05\/GigaFile-SCSI-Adapter-1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"400\" height=\"300\" src=\"https:\/\/www.jungsi.de\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/05\/GigaFile-SCSI-Adapter-1.jpg\" alt=\"GigaFile SCSI-Adapter\" class=\"wp-image-3495\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.jungsi.de\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/05\/GigaFile-SCSI-Adapter-1.jpg 400w, https:\/\/www.jungsi.de\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/05\/GigaFile-SCSI-Adapter-1-300x225.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 400px) 100vw, 400px\" \/><\/a><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">GigaFile Adapter Typ 5 &#8211; 26 polig SUB-D &#8211; SCSI 2 50 Pins hp<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Folgende Adapter sind auch erh\u00e4ltlich:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>ACSI extern (STE usw.)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>SCSI extern (25 polig Sub-D)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>SCSI intern (50 polig SCSI Flachband)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>ACSI intern (MegaSTE oder Stacy)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">und noch weitere.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ich hatte das Gl\u00fcck, auf der Vcfe in M\u00fcnchen <strong>Wolgang F\u00f6rster<\/strong> pers\u00f6nlich&nbsp;kennen zulernen. Ein toller Entwickler! Er hat noch ein paar \u00dcberraschungen f\u00fcr die Atari-Szene im \u00c4rmel. \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Leider hatte ich bei meinem ersten Test am Falcon kein Gl\u00fcck &#8211; der Rechner startete nicht mehr, wenn das <strong>GigaFile<\/strong> angeschlossen war &#8211; nach einigen Tests stellte sich schnell heraus, dass es kein Fehler in der Konfiguration war. Mir wurde angeboten, das Ger\u00e4t zusammen mit dem Adapter und dem Kabel an <strong>Wolfgang F\u00f6rster<\/strong> zu senden, damit er es pr\u00fcft. Schnell war klar, dass ich wohl jedes Update ben\u00f6tige, das es f\u00fcr den SD-Karten-Leser so gibt. Also wurde die Firmware in der Version 03 aufgespielt \u2013 fertig. Der <strong>GigaFile Adapter 5<\/strong> ist eine kleine, saubere Erweiterung f\u00fcr den Falcon. Zusammen mit dem Programm <strong>MediaChange<\/strong> aus dem <strong>HDDriver<\/strong>-Paket funktioniert auch der Wechsel der SD-Karte im laufenden Betrieb. Bei meinem Geschwindigkeitstest mit How-Fast gab es keine gro\u00dfe \u00dcberraschung &#8211; ca. 1150 Lesen &#8211; ca. 600 schreiben.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Hier der Link zu meinem Bericht \u00fcber das -&gt;
