{"id":3091,"date":"2013-04-07T12:12:27","date_gmt":"2013-04-07T11:12:27","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.jungsi.de\/?p=3091"},"modified":"2026-06-03T14:27:31","modified_gmt":"2026-06-03T12:27:31","slug":"retro-sinclair-zx81-zxpand-ay","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.jungsi.de\/en\/retro-sinclair-zx81-zxpand-ay\/","title":{"rendered":"ZXpand-AY [Sinclair ZX81]"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Nachdem nun wieder ein paar St\u00fcck produziert wurden, habe ich gleich mal zugeschlagen bevor es wieder ausverkauft ist:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Das <strong>ZXpand-AY Sound Modul<\/strong> f\u00fcr den <strong>Sinclair ZX81<\/strong> (kann auch am <strong>Timex-Sinclair TS\/1000, TS\/1500<\/strong> verwendet werden. Das Modul ist eine Erweiterung zum schon bekannten <strong>ZXpand Interface,<\/strong> wird auf dieses aufgesteckt und erweitert es um AY Sound und einen Joystick Anschluss!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Meine anderen Beitr\u00e4ge passend zum Thema gibts hier: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.jungsi.de\/en\/tag\/zxpand\/\">ZXpand<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Nach kurzer Zeit ist das P\u00e4ckchen aus England angekommen &#8211; gekauft habe ich es wie immer beim Spezialisten: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sellmyretro.com\/offer\/details\/Brand-New-Sinclair-ZX81-ZXpand-AY-Module-2331\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">SellMyRetro<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Das Modul kommt zusammen mit einem Yamaha YM1249 Sound Chip und einem Atari kompatiblen DB-9 Joystick Anschluss. Das <strong>ZXpand-AY<\/strong> ist voll kompatibel zu <strong>Zon-X<\/strong> und verwendet einen Mixer Schaltkreis um den Stereo Ausgang zur Verf\u00fcgung zu stellen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Dateien k\u00f6nnen mit <strong>MIDI2AY<\/strong> und einem gew\u00f6hnlichen<strong> ZX81<\/strong> Abspieler konvertiert werden.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Achtung: Das <strong>ZXpand-AY Sound Modul<\/strong> arbeitet nur wenn es mit dem <strong>ZXpand Interface<\/strong> verbunden ist.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Um das Modul mit dem <strong>ZXpand<\/strong> Interface zu verbinden, muss der Hauptprozessor vorsichtig entfernt werden (der gro\u00dfe Chip neben dem SD-Karten-Leser) &#8211; dieser wird wieder ben\u00f6tigt. Der vorher entfernte Hauptprozessor muss nun in den freien Sockel auf dem <strong>ZXpand-AY<\/strong> eingesetzt werden (dort wo &#8220;Footsteps Approaching&#8221; steht ). Die Markierung auf dem Prozessor muss auf der dem Lautsprecher-Anschluss abgewandten Seite sein.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.jungsi.de\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/04\/ZX-Pand-AY-2.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" src=\"https:\/\/www.jungsi.de\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/04\/ZX-Pand-AY-2-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"ZXpand Vorbereitung - Prozessor und Gal entfernt\" class=\"wp-image-3122\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.jungsi.de\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/04\/ZX-Pand-AY-2-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.jungsi.de\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/04\/ZX-Pand-AY-2.jpg 400w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">ZXpand Vorbereitung &#8211; Prozessor und Gal entfernt<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Wenn alles fertig ist (achte darauf keines der F\u00fc\u00dfchen zu verbiegen) kann das komplette Interface am <strong>ZX81<\/strong> angesteckt werden.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.jungsi.de\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/04\/ZX-Pand-AY-3.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" src=\"https:\/\/www.jungsi.de\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/04\/ZX-Pand-AY-3-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"ZXpand-AY ohne Prozessor\" class=\"wp-image-3123\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.jungsi.de\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/04\/ZX-Pand-AY-3-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.jungsi.de\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/04\/ZX-Pand-AY-3.jpg 400w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">ZXpand-AY ohne Prozessor<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Es gibt schon einiges an Software um mit dem<strong> ZX81<\/strong> zusammen mit dem <strong>ZXpand-AY Sound<\/strong> abzuspielen, ebenso wie Software um Sounds f\u00fcr Spiele und andere Software zu entwerfen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.sinclairzxworld.com\/viewtopic.php?f=6&amp;t=661\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">AY Sound Design Tool<\/a> &#8211; das erlaubt die Freuqenz, Lautst\u00e4rke und Mixer f\u00fcr jeden der drei Kan\u00e4le einzustellen um Ger\u00e4usche f\u00fcr die Benutzung in anderen Programmen zu erstellen<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.sinclairzxworld.com\/viewtopic.php?f=6&amp;t=2641&amp;p=28093\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">ZXpand Sound Player<\/a> &#8211; einfach AY Dateien (Dateien im PT3 Format) in ein Verzeichnis des <strong>ZXpand<\/strong> kopieren und dann ein kurzes Programm starten um die Tunes auszuw\u00e4hlen und abzuspielen<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.sinclairzxworld.com\/aye-aye-t528s100.html?t=528&amp;start=100#p4775\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">ZX81 STC Sound Player<\/a> &#8211; Programm um Dateien im STC Format abzuspielen<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.sinclairzxworld.com\/viewtopic.php?f=6&amp;t=556&amp;p=7094\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">ZX81 Sound Tracker<\/a> &#8211; Music Editor und Tracker<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.sinclairzxworld.com\/return-of-the-pseudo-sound-routine-t598.html?t=598\">ZX81 Sound Engine<\/a> &#8211; Sounds direkt am AY Interface mit BASIC wiedergeben<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Bemerkung: STC und PT3 Dateien k\u00f6nnen von MIDI Sound Dateien mit dem <a href=\"http:\/\/bulba.untergrund.net\/vortex_e.htm\">Vortex Tracker II<\/a> (Windows) erstellt werden. Ein gutes Tutorial f\u00fcr den Vortex Tracker II gibt es unter: http:\/\/chipmusic.org\/forums\/topic\/27\/vortex-tracker-ii\/<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Da ist noch mehr:<br>Das <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sellmyretro.com\/offer\/details\/Brand-New-Sinclair-ZX81-MrX-AY-Sound-Interface-2268\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>MrX Sound Interface<\/strong><\/a> &#8211; dieses kann mit dem passenden GAL ausgestattet und dann mit dem <strong>ZXpand<\/strong> und dem <strong>ZXpand-AY Modul<\/strong> kombiniert werden.
