CF PCMCIA Adapter<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Dem Amiga 1200<\/em> wurde von Commodore ein sogenannter PCMCIA-Slot spendiert. Dies ist die Abk\u00fcrzung f\u00fcr Personal Computer Memory Card International Association<\/em>. Dabei gilt es zwei Arten zu unterscheiden, die 16bit Karten – PC-Card<\/em> und 32bit Karten – Cardbus-Karten<\/em>.
\nBeim Amiga funktionieren nur die „einfacheren“ PC-Card Karten. Die Cardbus<\/em>-Karten sind daran zu erkennen das sie beim Anschluss eine „goldfarbene“ Leiste haben.
\nDie interessantesten PCMCIA-Adapter f\u00fcr den A1200<\/em> (oder auch A600) d\u00fcrften folgende sein:
\n– PCMCIA Compactflash Adapter
\n– PCMCIA Netzwerkadapter
\n– PCMCIA Wireless Card<\/p>\n

F\u00fcr mich war es wichtig eine einfache M\u00f6glichkeit zu haben, Daten zwischen dem PC und dem Amiga<\/em> austauschen zu k\u00f6nnen. Daher habe ich mir einen PCMCIA Compactflash Adapter bestellt. Dieser wird zusammen mit einer Diskette geliefert, auf der sich die ben\u00f6tigte Software befindet und f\u00fcr ca. 10 \u20ac bei Ebay erh\u00e4ltlich ist.<\/p>\n

Die Installation ist relativ einfach – sollte die Diskette mit der Software nicht vorliegen kann diese von der aminet-Seite heruntergeladen werden. Die Software besteht immer aus drei Teilen<\/p>\n

Nach der Installation hatte ich Probleme die PCMCIA-Karte zusammen mit meiner ACA1232<\/em> Turbokarte zu betreiben. Das Problem kann mit einem zus\u00e4tzlichen Eintrag in die Bootupsequenz des Amiga behoben werden. Dabei wird \u00fcber das Programm ACAtune das zu der Turbokarte geh\u00f6rt ein zus\u00e4tzlicher Reset-Impulse an die PCMCIA-Karte gesendet werden. <\/p>\n
